Working from home has its benefits. But one of the downsides is that there’s way too much food around to snack on. Or maybe that’s just my problem. In any case, I’m happy to report that there’s still plenty of ways to workout while social distancing. The trainers below offer up handy exercises and there are even some in-demand gyms streaming free classes. We actually might just emerge from isolation a little bit healthier.

How to exercise with everyday items laying around your house
After my gym closed, I decided I'd try to order some at-home fitness equipment. I have a single set of dumbbells, but I was hoping to get a pull-up bar and maybe some resistance bands. But no such luck. Everything was sold out. Thanks to social distancing and self-isolation, a lot of gym-minded guys are looking for alternatives to their usual workouts and fitness classes.
The good news? Some of the most in-demand trainers and studios are taking on this crisis by opening their services to anyone online—for free. They're sharing their expertise and guidance on Instagram and hosting live workout classes so you don't feel so alone in your quest to stay healthy during this stressful (and snack-ridden) time of uncertainty. Best of all, you don't need any equipment at all. Just a good attitude (and maybe a towel or jug of water). Check out our round-up below for a full body workout.
AbdominalsThis is a go-to ab circuit for Aussie trainer and founder of Milestone Strength, Nathan McCallum. And his shredded six-pack proves he knows what he's talking about. Do this five-move circuit, four times and emerge from isolation with a slimmer waist.
Arms (and Shoulders)Fitness model and personal trainer Jordan Morello put together an effective arm day workout with common items found around the house, from a broomstick to a jug of laundry detergent. To round that out, he also has a similar shoulder set using gallon jugs of water.
BackIf you're doing plenty of push-ups, you'll want to make sure to balance things out by working your back too. Ebenezer Samuel, the fitness director for Men's Health, walks you through four dedicated back moves that can be accomplished using water jugs or a loaded backpack.
Legs (and Butt)Certified personal trainer and coach Camilo Cereijo has come up with a lower body circuit to work the legs, quads, calves and glutes. All you need is a chair and some stamina (and a weighted bag if you want to make the exercises even more difficult).
Total Body ToningRhys Athayde, the founding trainer at the exclusive Dogpound gym, offers up a total body workout that tones muscles and tightens your core—using only two small towels. I can report that this is harder than it looks but really delivers.

Want the accountability of a live class? Set a phone reminder and tune into free Instagram live workouts with some of the best boutique gyms, studios and bootcamps. It's quite a deal—remember, these classes would usually run you $30 to $40.
RumbleThis popular boxing gym is now offering daily live boxing-inspired workouts with a range of trainers.
Barry'sThe OG bootcamp is streaming a variety of HIIT workouts, using no to minimal equipment.
AarmyTrainer Akin Akman and his crew are offering live bodyweight workouts and if you have a stationary bike, they're streaming cycle classes too.
EquinoxThe high-end gym is now streaming live yoga classes and total body core bodyweight workouts with trainers.
